S(l)ide Table
The S(l)ide table started as a pun – a table that you couldn’t put anything on, as a way of poking some fun at some famous contemporary furniture pieces which are to all effects useless. However, my practical side rebelled and the result was a hall table which can be used (including the two drawers) but which still reflects its whimsical, sculptural origins.
This version was made from laminated ply, Victorian Ash, and highly featured recycled Blackbutt and other timbers for the drawers. Photo: Randal Kohn
